June 2023 Community Conversation – Dr. Connie Brumm
The mission of End of Life WA (EOLWA) is to guide people in preparing for the final days of their lives. Those who are terminally ill and wish to use the Washington Death with Dignity Act work with EOLWA volunteers who provide compassionate support throughout the entire process. EOLWA also provides support to physicians who wish to participate in the Death with Dignity Act for their patients. EOLWA promotes advance planning and envisions a day when all Washington residents will make informed decisions so they may experience peaceful deaths consistent with their values.
Dr. Connie Brumm is a retired family physician who volunteers with End of Life Washington, serving both as a client advisor, and as a speaker, on end of life topics. She will speak on ways that terminal patients can choose to hasten their death in a dignified manner and discuss the recent changes to Washington’s Death With Dignity Law. She is also a board member with the League of Women Voters of Moscow, Idaho.
