Quarterly League Members Meeting
We invite all members to our first quarterly meeting to learn about current projects and discuss the future direction of the League. August 14th at 4:30pm Yakima Neighborhood Health Services 12 South 8th Street (use 7th Street entrance) Check in at reception and go to the 3rd floor Paddock Room Light refreshments will be provided. Voter Services Committee Meeting
The Voter Services Committee strives to provide resources that empower and encourage Yakima County voters to utilize their right to vote. Resources include: Conducting candidate forums prior to local, statewide and national elections. Registering voters at community events Providing educational materials to schools and at community events Conducting ballot parties, helping voters navigate their ballots We meet monthly, usually at noon, to discuss current voting issues, develop our resources and plan our events. We welcome persons to the meeting that may interested in learning more or supporting the voter services efforts of the League of Women Voters of Yakima County.
League Annual Meeting
Our 2023 Annual meeting is coming up on Wednesday, June 21st at 5:00pm at the YWCA of Yakima located at 818 West Yakima Ave in the second-floor conference room. There is street parking and the lot south of Keith and Keith Funeral Home is available for our use. In addition to League Business, there will be a presentation by Audel Ramirez about Increasing Voter Participation in the Yakima Valley.
